Individuals identify their gender based on who they feel they are inside. Gender identify is not always projected outwardly. As a result, those who do not feel they identify with their birth sex may experience distress. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or suicidal ideations related to your gender? Transgender Care therapy can assist you with the following:
- Exploring gender identity
- Coping with stigma and minority stress
- Alleviating Coexisting mental health issues
In addition, therapists who are trained in transgender care can assess eligibility, prepare, and make recommendations for hormone therapy and/or surgery and provide follow-up care.
